Abstract: The contribution analyses the plan of the branch of the Acqua Felice from the cistern at the Campidoglio, designed by Filippo Raguzzini in 1748 and commissioned by the of the Sistine aqueduct fell. The study of previously unknown documents reveals the repeated maintenance work of the pipelines carried out by Raguzzini, at the time architetto del popolo romano (architect of the roman people). It also clarifies the motivations and strategies underlying the complex plan drafted as a concise reference for subsequent work on the hydraulic infrastructure that, beginning with the Sistine works, had become a cornerstone in the architectural and urban redefinition of ample areas at the foot of the hill. The appendix contains the annotations, an integral part of the plan, with their accurate description of the network’s branches feeding public fountains, the locations of water fixtures and their users.
