Abstract:  DOCUMENTARY RESEARCHES ON CAPITAL ROME’S URBAN AND CONSTRUCTION HISTORY ATH THE END OF THE XIX CENTURY The author goes over some of the most significant events of Rome’s Urban History following the unification of Italy, through the study of documents that belong in the Historical Archives of Rome. In particular, it concerns the agreements stipulated, in 1898, between the administrative Authorities of Rome and The Bank of Italy to bring the judicial disputes resulting from the crash suffered by the Banca Tiberina (after the economical crisis of 1888) to a settlement. Such agreements were intended to stimulate the building upturn in Rome, thus, terminating the final stage of areas and projects still under construction. This study examines the completion of Termini’s exhedra and the district neighborhoods of Oca and Nomentana, while highlighting some peculiar aspects in regards to administrative procederes concerning the lotting agreed upon.
