Abstract: An investigation on the technical-scientific collections housed whitin the scholls in the province of Rome: some results   An often valuable and unexplored technical-scientific treasure trove is hidden in the secondary schools in the province of Rome. The primary purpose of this paper is to trace the historical events and cultural premises that resulted in the formation of these collections and in addition, to shed light on the type of existing material with an attempt to understand the role played by the schools and to evaluate their actual use in daily didactic activity.
